Maurice DeVoe started his career as an intern in his hometown of Philadelphia at Power 99FM. During his career Maurice Devoe has been an air talent and programmer in major markets such as Los Angeles, Washington, DC, Philadelphia and Houston. In February of 2005 he was hired as the Operations Manager for Cumulus Kansas City and Program Director for KCHZ-FM. He was also hired as the midday talent for KCHZ-FM and in February of 2009 was elevated to afternoon drive.
In December 2009 Maurice DeVoe was elevated to Format Captain for Urban / Urban AC and Gospel for Cumulus Media.
Maurice DeVoe has enjoyed great success at his former station KCHZ-FM, when he first arrived in 2005 KCHZ-FM was #16 overall in the market and #8 in its target demo of 18-34. Today KCHZ-FM is enjoying great ratings success consistently ranking Top 10 overall in the market and Top 5Adults 18-34. Women 18-34 and Women 25-54.
When he’s not working hard on the air Maurice enjoys checking out the hottest new movies to hit the theaters. He’s also BIG sports fan and enjoys professional Baseball and Basketball games…Go Rangers and Mavs.
Maurice also enjoys hanging out at the hottest night spots and restaurants in town, he loves Italian, Japanese, Sushi and authentic Mexican food.
